Hey! I’m back after a while that was full of work and a lot of commitments! Finally though, after the Salone, I was able to find some time to tell you about “Design Week” this year! As you probably know already, the world of design is constantly changing: new ideas, new designers, new materials, new shapes, new colors and new technology is pretty much always on the agenda.
During my recent trip to Milan during the Salone del Mobile, in addition to appreciating the novelty of the most successful companies, I was able to discover excellent emerging designers.
The Salone del Mobile, one of the most important events in the world in regard to design and the companies operating in this sector, devotes part of its exhibition space to emerging designers and their products: The Salone Satellite.
Here I was able to breathe in fresh air, experimentation, and see rigorous and geometric design lines and lose myself in the most imaginative and irrational projects. Products are created with very personal concepts and often you find their origin in the living habits of the designers, not to mention the cultural influences that characterize the style of the products.
To be understood, the designers that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting really come from all over the world: Japan, Belgium, Austria, passing through Norway, Greece and Germany, and that’s just to name a few countries.
