Marble is once again the protagonist of face-to-face events. Marmomac will be in Verona from 29th September to 2nd October 2021, for a new edition after the previous digital one due to the pandemic. The natural stone industry returns to its event, an occasion that the general manager of Veronafiere, Giovanni Mantovani, defined as “a relaunch for the entire sector“. More than 700 exhibitors who will animate the 9 halls of Veronafiere. Find in this article everything you need to know about the Verona marble fair.
The international fair of marble and stone processing technologies was established for the first time in 1965. Since then Marmomacc, which later became Marmomac, has always put the Italian marble market (made up of producers, craftsmen, architects and designers) in communication with the global market.
Also this year, in this new edition, there was no shortage of investments for foreign incoming. Buyers from the United States, the UAE, Germany and France are expected to be a promising and qualified audience. The Safetybusiness protocol will keep the level of controls high and you will be able to enjoy every aspect of the fair with serenity. Entrance with green pass, temperature scanning and frequent sanitation points will guarantee advanced anti-covid prevention measures.
The Marmomac Talks are once again protagonists of the fair, increasing the culture and know-how linked to the world of stone. Design and architecture, art and university experimentation will be the thematic areas addressed. Pavilions 2, 7 and 12 will host the meetings, allowing participants to have space and avoid gatherings, thanks to led walls and spaced seats. Hall 1 becomes The Italian Stone Theater – Time in Stone, with an original setting dedicated to the value of time as the main distinctive element between natural stones and artificial products. This creativity will be in halls 11 and 12.
The 55th edition of Marmomac will also be phygital. By skilfully embracing digital, and taking advantage of the communication opportunities adopted in lockdown last year, Marmomac Plus was launched. It’s a portal dedicated to natural stone professionals, which gathers the entire marble community and aims as a new business and networking tool. And it’s always on, all year round.
The main feature of Marmomac is knowing how to intrigue the designer and the craftsman, the architect and the distributor, the technician and the salesperson alike. My last time at this event dates back to 2018, when, as a member of the jury together with Giorgio Tartaro, Marco Piva, Umberto Branchini and Matteo Ruta, I was asked to evaluate the exhibit design for the Best Communicator Award.
The save the date for the 55th edition of Marmomac is from 29 September to 2 October 2021, in Verona. I’ll be there!
