The Gallery Hotel Art is dressed in POP!

POP is popular, POP is all about people, talking to people, their emotions, and their lives

Last year on May 16th, I had the pleasure and honor of being invited to the inauguration of the “Andy Warhol Forever” event at Gallery Hotel Art in Florence, and it was a truly memorable experience!

Like last year’s event, it was organized by the Gallery Art Hotel, “WOW the Turn of the Energies” and “Andy Warhol Forever” too is an event open to all lovers of culture and good food that you shouldn’t miss.

For this reason I absolutely recommend going to see and enjoy this event if you are in Florence. But wait for me to explain why … believe me, you won’t be disappointed!

We are precisely in the Vicolo dell’Oro, the square in front of the Gallery Hotel Art, which for five years now has been subjected to a transversal, appealing artistic re-qualification and in this edition it focused on the POP theme.

Outside of "Freedom"

As soon as I arrived I was immediately surprised by the Vespa series arranged neatly in a row along the outer wall of Gallery Hotel Art.

Colored figures that going in the direction of the sky.

The installation by Simone D’Auria is breathtaking, funny, cool and focused on one of the many Made in Italy product symbols in the world, as well as pop culture. The eternal Vespa. Look at that scenery!

As I watched the works, the area, the people, I thought of how amazing it is to think, and above all to be able to live such simple moments of daily life surrounded by beauty. Is it not amazing to know that I can have breakfast or lunch under these amazing works of art full of history and energy?

Inside of "Andy Warhol Forever"

Entering the hotel’s premises, where you can also find the Fusion Bar & Restaurant environment, the Pop theme explodes at an exhibition dedicated to one of Pop’s greatest exhibitors … Andy Warhol!

Here the atmosphere is timeless, or rather it seemed to me to be suspended in time, in a contemporary moment that perfectly resembles the past.

Among the works from the Rosini Gutman Foundation, there are portraits of Marilyn Monroe, one of the silk-screenings of the “Ladies and Gentlemen,” the famous cans of Campbell’s soup, and the works that reproduce the Kiku.

And to be sure we don’t miss anything, there are also some works by Kaufmann!

I felt like I was a little girl again, astonished every time

At Fusion...a POP lunch!

At the Fusion Bar & Restaurant, the famous chef Peter Brunel served us every way by explaining his concept. The menu is really creative.…Besides just being a good way to die, haha. The design of the dishes is very elaborate! I felt like I was a little girl again, astonished every time.

But the pictures will speak better than me, I’m sure!

What do you think about fresh salmon rolls?

And spaghetti in Campbell cans?

With the Chef Peter Brunel

It will last until 31 December 2017

H2O risotto in cabbage water?

And the second one? It looks like Simmenthal, when I opened the jar I found three filet munchies melting in my mouth, in a vegetable broth.

Finally, a very colorful Macedonia (fruit salad), with a glass bottle of Coca Cola and a tasty yogurt to mix with the fruit. I will just tell you that it did not look like fruit salad, but it seemed to me like I was eating some excellent candy!

I'm talking from experience, because the event, like all that Lungarno Collection is to me, is a round trip with art, culture, design, and food

Yummy!

It will last until 31 December 2017.

It is a journey, or rather an experience that combines the interior and exterior of the hotel, and is completed with an original food design that I hope I have been able to convey!

I’m talking from experience, because the event, like all that Lungarno Collection is to me, is a round trip with art, culture, design, and food.

Then, as if that’s not enough, it takes place in one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Basically, It’s not possible to be bored

So what do you think? Do you like the event? Would you like to go try it out? If you go, let me know! Which part intrigues you the most? Did you know about Pop art and culture? Do you have a favorite artist? Is there a piece of art you would like to enjoy while eating, or even inside your home?
