Classic and modern: a mix that, if tastefully represented, can give magnificent results in terms of aesthetics. We are talking about beauty, the beauty that we can find in a setting designed with taste. To show you what I mean, I thought I’d show you the design of an interior, more specifically a kitchen, that is part of a Parisian apartment.
The project minimized the overall dimensions of the kitchen, making the cabinets “disappear” into space.
The bottom wall is in fact characterized by sliding panels which, once closed, hide appliances and container elements.
The focus is clearly on the island in the kitchen, characterized by an ultra-minimal design. The top surface indeed has a thickness of a few centimeters, and includes the sink, the stove, and all of the necessary electrical connections.
The mastery work to get a minimal environment was rough.
What I prefer about this project is the ability to have been able to design and build an almost invisible kitchen, the visual impact is characterized by a combination of different styles.
The most important element of the room, island, has a very modern design – an essential, thin, and polished line, all of which are part of the full-blown modern style.
Nevertheless, the color black, pure and intense, gives a charming contrast to the natural wooden floors, while white walls enrich the decorative stucco and give it a more classic mood.
The combination of these elements, as you may have noticed, works perfectly.
The main point of the project, however, is success from the scenic point of view: the environment interacts with itself in a consistent style that is interrupted with one single element of contrast, and for this reason, becomes the focus of the environment.
