You will understand that when it comes to the decor of fabulous interiors, we are entering a world that I personally love. I thoroughly enjoy all of the kinds of environments that can leave you literally speechless (especially only with pictures!). Saying this, today I’ve decided to talk to you about a restaurant which is a little jewel in the British Scene: the “German Gymnasium” in London.
The point is this: if you go to London, you can’t pass at least seeing this place. All in all, the prices are affordable and the service is friendly and lives up to all expectations. However, I warn you: the kitchen is traditional German.
But back to the reason for this article: the “German Gymnasium” design it is simply spectacular!
It is a place located in Central London in an original structure (a German gym – hence the name) of 1864.
The studio Conran + Partners, which was involved in the restructure, has created a truly unique setting: glamorous, contemporary, and it has the stylish appeal of a large European coffee.
The main design concept was to restore the “viewing gallery” on the first floor, formerly occupied by offices, which would allow a magnificent view of the entire dining area and the breathtaking ceiling of the structure.
The color palette choice is warm, the lights are dim, the details are well kept. Pieces of historic design blend with contemporary details in a unique and charming harmony. In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful and inspiring restaurant interiors I’ve ever seen.
Not surprisingly, the “German Gymnasium” has received the prestigious “Restaurant & Bar Award” as” The most beautiful restaurant in the world” for the 2015/2016 biennium.
So what do you think, do you like it? Did you know about it already? Would you like to go, or maybe you’ve been there already? Let me know, I’m curious! 🙂
If you click here you can obtain gift vouchers: golden tickets that can be used in all restaurants, food stores, and the D&D hotels, in which “German Gymnasium” is a part of.
